Superior Donuts: Lessons From a Donut Shop

This week, amid rounds of show renewals and cancellations in Hollywood, the unfortunate news came that after two seasons, CBS would not renew it’s multi-camera comedy Superior Donuts for a third season. Before visiting the set of Superior Donuts, I had breif interactions with high end professional productions. I was looking at video production on at it's peak. We're Going On A Trip!

I'm heading to Oklahoma for the holidays, and it'll give me the opportunity to shoot a section of America I haven't seen yet. I've lived around DC, seen NYC and was an ATLien for a day, fell in love shooting here in Seattle and loved hiking the Hollywood Hills. This will be my first time in the middle of the US, so I'm excited to explore some new cities and see new things to explore.

WHY MY NEXT CAMERA WILL BE MIRRORLESS AND 4K

As more and more devices display content in 4K and HDR content, putting out content in those formats helps it stick out against the rest of the pack. My current kit is heavy and only outputs video in 1080p.
